So, what are the best things to do in Port Dickson if you're going to PD?

With its many attractions, Port Dickson, a popular holiday destination in the state of Negeri Sembilan, is an excellent location from the hustle and bustle of city life. Aside from its throngs of exciting Port Dickson watersports and countless Port Dickson things to do, this peaceful little coastal town has enchanted nature lovers, city people, and food connoisseurs from all over the world with its easily accessible location, affordability, and cornucopia of great Port Dickson attractions.

Port Dickson's many attractions will astound you, varying from unrevealed beaches and spiritual temples to delightful animal farms and peaceful natural forests, while providing families and loved ones with plenty of interesting things to do in Port Dickson.

1. Kota Lukut (Lukut Museum and Fort)

While in Port Dickson, you should also go to Kota Lukut. A historic fort with a museum sits up on a hill merely north of Port Dickson town. Raja Jumaat, a Bugis warrior, founded this fort in 1847 to keep a watch on the tin trade in the area. Today, little remains except for a few ruined walls and stones.

In contrast, the grounds have been morphed into a lovely park area complete with watchtowers and gazebos. The museum at the bottom of the hill is the most famous Port Dickson attraction, displaying historical and cultural artefacts from the region's mining era. It is set between the early 1800s and 1880.

2.Pusat Ikan Hiasan Teluk Kemang

There are several small aquariums where you can learn about marine life conservation while observing jellyfish, sea horses, stonefish, turtles, and coral reefs.

This is a government research facility that also helps with turtle conservation and release into the wild. This attraction is ideal for taking a break from your Port Dickson beach activities because it is close to Teluk Kemang Beach.

The admission is free.

3. Lighthouse 500

Lighthouse 500 should be on your list if you enjoy spice, heat, and the best seafood in Port Dickson. This Port Dickson seafood restaurant is well-known as the No. 1 go-to spot, with its seafood BBQ being a favourite among PD's local seafood lovers. Patrons can enjoy a cosy atmosphere by the beach while dining on other Port Dickson seafood specialties such as grilled seafood barbecue at this seafood haven in PD.

Furthermore, the Durian Cafe has a larger space with Instagram-worthy décor. This brand offers fresh durians harvested in Malaysia, as well as durian desserts such as durian mochi and ice cream, under their sub-brand Stinky.

A good European chocolate bars is also a delectable and rich indulgence that will satisfy any sweet tooth. Cocoa Valley's unique menu, which includes everything from panned tiramisu white almond to mix chocolate bomb, is a haven for chocolate lovers and dessert junkies looking to satisfy their chocolate cravings and have a cocoa experience to remember.

4. Wild West Cowboy Indoor Theme Park

The Wild West Cowboy Indoor Theme Park is a small indoor theme park with a few children's rides. There are also arcades, an escape room, a 5D cinema with short films, a skunk interactive show, and AR shooting games.

Aside from the escape room, this attraction is best suited to families with young children, with whom you could easily spend a half day. Because there is only one escape room, lines can get quite long. This is probably not the best Port Dickson attraction for people without children or families with older children. These two Port Dickson attractions can be visited together because the Wild West Cowboy Indoor Theme Park is close to the Alive 3D Art Gallery.

5. Telok Kemang Observatory

You might not think of an observatory when considering what to see in Port Dickson, but the Telok Kemang Observatory is well worth a visit. Non-guests can also visit twice a day, at 3-5 pm and 10:30 pm-12 am, for an informative talk and a look through telescopes, making this an option for what to do in Port Dickson at night. It's part of the Klana Beach Resort (which is one of our choices for the best hotel in Port Dickson). Keep in mind, however, that shows may be limited in the rain. The solar observatory can be seen in the afternoon, and the night sky can be seen at night. Astrology artefacts and vintage telescopes are also on display.

6. Blue Lagoon

Touring a beach should be on your list of things to do in PD, and Blue Lagoon is a great place to start. Tanjung Biru, also known as Blue Lagoon, is a popular beach in the Port Dickson area that is peaceful and quiet than most Port Dickson beaches due to its location about 17 kilometres south of Port Dickson town and close to the Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve.

While this is one of the more popular beaches in PD, the surrounding forests, which also provide some shade, do not detract from its beauty. There are also restrooms, market stalls, and a hawker centre on-site. You can easily spend the entire day there. Blue Lagoon's water is calm and shallow, making it ideal for non-swimmers or families. Water sports are also prohibited near the shore, and at low tide, many rock pools can be explored.

7. Pantai Cahaya Negeri and Mangrove Walk

Visit Pantai Cahaya Negeri for a unique beach experience. It is not even one of the most beautiful beaches in Port Dickson, with white sand, but it also has a leisure park and a cool bridge over the water called "Lovers Bridge." The bridge leads to a mangrove island with a boardwalk that winds through the trees. It's especially enjoyable for children to get up close to the mangroves and walk across the water.
